Sing, my angel of music!
Snowboarding with Jacob today was wicked. He's actually quite good, considering it was his first day. We got horribly, horribly lost on the way to the hill... and also coming back from the hill, we were thwarted by road closures. All the same, we managed to shave 45 minutes off the drive on the return journey! The Eastern snow was much better than I had been led (by Mum!) to expect.
Speaking of Mum, and of Dad, I received a most wonderful surprise birthday cake by special delivery to the res desk today. Thank you! I haven't eaten any of it yet, but it is gorgeous and I will probably have some tomorrow with a bunch of the folks.
And lastly, the Glen Girls and Katherine, Robyn, and I went to a movie tonight. So I have finally seen Phantom of the Opera! I didn't like it, but I loved it. We spent about an hour afterwards talking about it and listening to the songs (hooray for downloading) and debating the relative merits of Raoul, the square-jawed, slightly tedious good suitor, and the Phantom, that prototypical stalker/tutor/admirer/tortured genius. A good time was had by all, and we freaked out the guy at the bus stop by singing and talking loudly. He edged away from us, "edged" in this instance meaning, "rapidly motored about 20m".
Oh, God, it is time to get down to work. Consider it done.

Hello Jessicamabob,
'Tis Beverly here wondering when your birthday is/was becuase I am a horrible friend with and even horribler (not a word, I know.. :P) and can't remember. Happy Birthday or un-Birthday as the case may be and I'm sorry I missed you at Christmas. I was thinking of calling you sometime to say hi so send me your number and a time that would be good to call and perhaps you shall hear from me. Best of luck in the next semester!
